We believe that context shapes form. Over time we've developed a process - but not a template - for our projects. It is both a discovery and iterative process in search for personalized solution, determined in close-collaboration with the client and reflective of project specific requirements and its context.

Meet

We start by listening and chat through your goals, trying to understand and tease out the functional requirements ideas, intentions, needs and wants. From this point a clear brief can be articulated to help the client think carefully about what exactly he wants to achieve and define the project scope. Based on this scope, we propose an estimated fee for our services.

Concept

We kick off with a brainstorming process of ideas, sketches, voices and materials that we bundle into a first presentation in which the first lines for spatial design and further approach are set out. In general, an unambiguous direction can already be formulated from the options presented. We grab the opportunity for refining the brief and considering budget constraints. Subsequently, we further explore the concept with greater consideration to structure, material, detail and services. This stage usually ends with a design for final review alongside a set of detailed drawings.

Realisation

This stage typically involves material selection and specification, developing construction details, selecting suppliers, developing and integrating documentation from other consultants. Simultaneously, we embark on contractor selection. We assist in contract negotiations and propose alternative suitable contractors to ensure competitive tendering and the best quality and price balance. Once work has commenced, we include consistent site visits, thoroughly assess and report on the quality of the work. This to ensure that agreed specifications are met and a smooth handover can be ensured.
