Le Chariot
In late 2021, Nick Bril from The Jane approached us with a request to design a mobile bar furniture to offer his customers a unique post-meal digestif experience. ‘Guests at The Jane don’t typically order a cognac on their own. You have to make it a table experience,’ says Nick.
Just as top chefs regularly update their kitchens, the restaurant itself continues to innovate. To add an element of surprise, the furniture could have an edgy touch. And so, we designed a punky cart in aluminum, piano lacquer, gold leaf, plexi, and leather, which passes by the tables after the meal. The inspiration came from a mobile taco bar in New York, filled with colored plastic bins.
Le Chariot was born.
